As fall rolls in and winter is on the way, we always look to keep up with the new styles or fads in our discussions. However, in the last few years there have been less memorable fads as there were in the past. What will it be this year? Will there be something that people will remember for years or just a minor style like the thong exposed over the jeans?

We started to think of some of the more memorable fads that went along with the 80s…the parachute pants, the New Yorker Laces, there were many. Then browsed a discussion that was originally posted by Allmoorica about the famous Freezy Freakies. Who could forget those color changing gloves. If you live where its hot or are young, these gloves changed colors as the temperature changed. Add these to your moon boots and you were ready to hit the cold weather. This color changing fad came back years later with the Hypercolor T-Shirts. Even the toys of the past stick out more than the current toys. Its been years since people waited in line for a Elmo Doll. Years ago people killed others for Cabbage Patch Dolls and Rubics Cube.

Yes, we have had minor fads in the t-shirt industry over the last few years with the vintage t-shirt coming back strong. But what will be the next big thing that people will remember for years to come. We now hang on to and search for 80s tees and vintage concert t-shirts from the past. Will this be the year for something new to emerge? Its not looking good. In the meantime nothing wrong with remembering the past. Sorry for being so nostalgic.
